Platform6 Campaign PillarsBuilt on the six foundations that reflect the voice of ward 6 residents.
Your Ideas First.
1. Seniors & Families First
Our ward thrives when we support both our long-time senior residents and growing families.
I will advocate for highly accessible community spaces and work to better connect our seniors with activities that help them sustain living actively. For local parents, I will support keeping neighborhood recreation programs stable and reliable.
2.Smart Infrastructure & The Riverside Vista Project Protecting basements and properties from flooding requires steady, sustainable infrastructure. I will focus on monitoring the rollout of Windsor’s Master Plans to ensure major local initiatives—like the upcoming phases of the Riverside Drive Vista Improvement Project—stay on schedule. My priority is securing essential, infrastructure funding for these critical underground stormwater, sewer, and road upgrades.
Areas to Work On: There are many by-laws which are obsolete about how much space around houses, corner lots, fencing and building heights. As new technology and equipment evolves, assessments should be done on a one-on-one basis to assess underground utilities regarding how much space can be given back to the residents. The assessments can be optional and generate revenue to fund further initiatives. The Riverside Vista Project is currently pending and requires continued advocacy to be completed.
3.Pedestrian Safety & Street Lighting Safe neighborhoods rely on visible streets and sensible traffic flow based on real resident input. I will work to install high-visibility flashing crosswalks near schools, shopping centers, and key intersections to safeguard school children, cyclists, and seniors. In sensitive areas, speed bumps must be installed, and/or auxiliary police foot patrolling is required.
4. Maintaining Parks & Green Spaces I am committed to advocating for the steady repair and renewal of aging playground equipment. I will support consistent maintenance so our public green spaces stay clean, safe, and welcoming. I will also advocate for more active recreation including tennis and pickleball courts, as well as activities where communities can connect.
5. Supporting Local Businesses, Arts, Cultural & Community Events Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. I will also champion community-led initiatives, like local markets, that bring foot traffic to our business corridors and community gatherings that support the diversity of the ward.
Implementation: Many public spaces can be used for Arts,Culture, Community events and Farmers Markets, such as the WFCU Centre parking lot and many parks in our Ward 6. This can be done in collaboration with the (BIA) Olde Riverside Business Improvement Association and local vendors, including youth to help empower them and boost our local economy.
6.Accountable Leadership & Fiscal Responsibility (Balanced and focused approach with practical results) I am committed to being accessible, transparent and accountable, working closely with residents to deliver practical solutions. I will be a responsive representative who returns your calls, listens to your concerns, and holds regular ward meetings. Your voice matters, and it will be my responsibility to ensure it is taken seriously.
